The Snake On The Pole

Visual Aid: the snake twined around a pole is a symbol of health. I showed the children the badges I received when i became a nurse and a midwife. They both have this symbol.

We sing a song to the tune of the Christmas Carol Silent Night to help the children remember the verse.

John Three Sixteen, John Three Sixteen,

For God so loved the world that He, gave His only begotten Son

That whosoever believeth in Him

Should not perish but have

Everlasting life.

You have to drag out the words begotten, have and everlasting, but it does work.
